Gloria Gleason
Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Sunday, June 5, 2016, Mrs. Gloria Mai Gleason, 89, loving wife to the late Archie Gleason, Sr.
Mrs. Gleason was a member of St. Mary on the Hill Catholic Church. She was a devout catholic, recited the Rosary, and attended Mass regularly. She was the co-owner of Saintly Gifts and after 31 years she retired from Wachovia. Mrs. Gleason loved people and will be missed by all who knew her.
Family members include her sons: Archie Gleason, Jr. of Augusta, John Gleason of Augusta, and Michael Gleason (Susan) of Kennesaw; daughters: Cindy Jenkins (John) of Birmingham, AL, Linda Parnell (Roy) of Evans, and Barbara Cheshire (Pat) of Louisville, KY; 15 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren; brother: Skip Brisbin; and sister: Katherine Duffy. In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by her son, Patrick Gleason.
A funeral Mass will be held Thursday, June 9, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Mary on the Hill Catholic Church with Fr. Lou Lindsey celebrant. Entombment will follow in the Mausoleum at Bellevue Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
