Obituary

Cuddy, Teresa M. “Mickey” (McDonald), age 89, of Braintree, formerly of Bridgewater & Mattapan passed away peacefully on Friday, June 3, 2016. Born in Boston, she grew up in Mattapan and was a graduate of Hyde Park High School. During WW II Mrs. Cuddy worked for the United States Navy at the Boston Navy Yard in Charlestown and later was employed by Stone & Webster Engineering Corp where she participated in essential work with the Army Service Forces – Corps of Engineers on the Manhattan Project. She received recognition and appreciation from both the U.S. War Department, as well as the U.S. Navy, for her service and contributions during WW II. She also was a former employee of Weight Watchers. Devoted to her family, “Mickey” was a supportive and loving wife, mother and grandmother. The beloved wife of the late Paul F. Cuddy, she was the devoted mother of Mary Fisher of Braintree, Patricia Eldridge of Westwood, Anne Costa and her husband John of Abington, Clare Coughlan and her husband Tom of Weymouth, Cathy Kaminsky and her husband Paul & Thomas Cuddy and his wife Cathy, all of Middleboro, Richard Cuddy and his wife Carol of Bridgewater and the late Paul G. Cuddy, dear sister of James McDonald of Hanson and the late Trudy Willard, Barbara Davis and Marty McDonald and cherished grandmother of 14 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Ann’s Church Neponset, Wednesday, June 8th at 10 am. Visiting hours will be held at the Alfred D. Thomas Funeral Home, 326 Granite Ave., Milton, Tuesday, June 7th from 2 to 4 & 7 to 9 pm. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, West Roxbury. In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy may be made to Feel the Beat Foundation 337 Southern Artery Quincy, MA 02169 or to the American Cancer Society 30 Speen St. Framingham, MA 01701.
