Obituary

Henry Boyd (Hank) Hoagland, 90, of Louisville, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family at Norton Brownsboro Hospital on Monday, May 30th. He was born on October 15, 1925 in Fairmont, West Virginia to the late Henry Hillard Hoagland and Jean Richie Hoagland. Upon graduation, from Academy High School, Eerie, PA, he enlisted in the United States Marines and served his country for 8 years. He was a World War II veteran and served in the South Pacific campaign. He was retired from International Harvester and worked many years after his retirement with Respro Home Care.
In addition to his parents, he is preceeded in death by his wife, Ann Sharp Hoagland, daughter Teresa Graham Findley, two grandsons, Cole Reinle and Eric Richards, and one great-grandaughter, Sophia Grace Rhoden.
He is survived by his children, Carol Spalding (Rick), Jim Graham (Janice), Brenda Pierallini (Lou), Skip Graham (Karen), Betty Richards (Mark), John Hoagland (Patty); 18 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren; his brother Roger Hoagland (Jean), 2 nieces and his dearest and best friend, Loretta Miller.
A private family memorial will be held in the Chapel at Grove Hill Cemetery, Mt. Eden Road, Shelbyville, KY. Graveside services to follow. A reception will be held at Hopewell Presbyterian Church immediately following the services.
