Mary (Garvey) Casey, age 82 of Lawrence passed away unexpectedly on June 2, 2016. Mary was born in Lawrence on December 29, 1933 to the late Michael and Delia (Fahey) Garvey. She attended the Rollins Grammar School of Lawrence and graduated from St. Mary’s High School of Lawrence. Mrs. Casey was a longtime employee of New England Telephone, retiring after 35+ years. She also worked as a receptionist with Elder Services for 15 years. She was a member of the Pioneers and a former communicant of Our Lady of Good Counsel/St. Augustine’s Church of Lawrence.
Mary was the beloved wife of the late Thomas Casey. She was the dear sister of Katherine O’Connor of Dover, NH, Carol Harding of Hampton, NH, Richard Garvey of New Smyrna, FL, and Patricia Garvey of Hampton, NH. Mrs. Casey is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Friends and guests are invited to call on Tuesday, June 7, 2016 from 9:00 AM until 9:30 AM at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence St. Methuen. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place immediately following calling hours at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Good Counsel, St. Augustine’s Chapel of Lawrence.
