Obituary

LACONIA - Sheila LaBrie, 55, of Laconia, NH passed away Monday, May 30, 2016, surrounded by her family.

Born in Grafton, MA, on March 5, 1961, she was the daughter of James and Eileen (Chard) Harper. Sheila lived in Grafton up until she moved up to New Hampshire to attend Plymouth State University. She went on to work at places such as Annalee Dolls, Jo-Ann Fabrics and Walmart.

Sheila spent a great portion of time volunteering in different programs such as The Young American Bowling Association (YABA) in the early 2000’s as well as coaching the Laconia High School Bowling Team from 2009 to 2012. Later on Sheila began to volunteer through St. Vincent De Paul in the Children’s Fund and the Food Pantry. Sheila also spent a great deal of time volunteering for Making Strides Against Breast Cancer where she not only was a captain of a team but was a member of the committee running the event. Each year Sheila set a goal to raise more money than the year prior and did so by running events such as horseshoe and bowling tournaments.

Sheila is survived by her husband, Milton LaBrie, her children Zachary LaBrie, Chesley LaBrie, James LaBrie , Zina LaBrie , her sisters Linda Ahearn, Eileen Harper, her brother Richard Harper and many nieces and nephews. Sheila was predeceased by her parents, James and Eileen Harper, and her Aunt, Marilyn Chard.

There will be no calling hours.

A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.
