Mr. Wesley “Wes” Foote, Sr. a life long resident of Medford and beloved husband of the late Constance E. “Connie” (Curtis) passed away at his home on Wednesday evening, June 1, 2016. He was 95 years old.
Born in Medford, Massachusetts, on September 24, 1920, he was the beloved son of the late John M. and Mary (Cake) Foote. Wes was a life long member of the Grace Episcopal Church in Medford and had worked as a carpenter for the Medford Public Schools system. In his spare time, Wes enjoyed building/cabinet making, painting pictures and playing the keyboard. Above all, he was a devoted family man, always putting his beloved family first.
He will be sadly missed by his loving children; Wesley and his wife Linda B. Foote of Medford, Robert A. and his wife Jan Foote of Jacksonville, Florida, Elizabeth J. and her husband Brad Corbin of Chelsea, Maine and Richard C. and his wife Linda C. Foote of Sugar Hill, New Hampshire, sisters; Verna Amend of Georgetown and Shirley Breen of South Carolina, grandchildren; Nancy, David, Sharyn, Meredith, Betsy, Wesley, Terry, John, Tracey, Allison and Andrew, 21 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. His funeral service will be celebrated in the Grace Episcopal Church, 160 High Street, Medford on Wednesday, June 8, 2016, at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are most welcome to attend. Visiting hours will be held in the Beals-Geake-Magliozzi Funeral Home, 29 Governors Avenue, Medford on Tuesday, June 7, 2016, from 4 to 8 PM. Interment will be held in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Medford.
