Obituary

Lillian T. Bouchard, 91, a former resident of Salem, passed away unexpectedly, Wednesday, June 1, 2016 at Sunrise of Lynnfield

Born and raised in Salem, she was the daughter of the late Adelard and Ella (Robinson) Bouchard. She was the sister of the late Henry Bouchard, Elizabeth Poussard, Rita Andruskiewicz, Therese Baxter and aunt of the late Raymond Poussard.

Lillian was a graduate of St. Joseph Academy Class of 1943. She was employed by New England Electric System for 42 years in various positions and at various locations. At the time of her retirement, she was secretary for the superintendent of the Salem Harbor Station. Following her retirement, Lillian volunteered as an aid for St. Joseph School. She was a former President of the North Shore Chapter of the National Secretaries Association.

A kind, generous family oriented caregiver, Lillian devoted much of her time to the St. Joseph Alumni Association and fund raising for the former St. Joseph Parish. She was a member of the Catholic Daughters Sodality and was an Associate of the Sisters of the Assumption.

Relatives and friends are invited to gather at the Levesque Funeral Home, 163 Lafayette St. [Route 114 / 1-A] Salem on Monday at 9:00 AM to be followed by her funeral mass in St. James Church, 156 Federal St., Salem at 10:00 AM. Visiting hours at the funeral home are on Sunday from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Salem.
