Sadie J. (Pettengill) Sanford, 100, of Franklin, NH passed away on Wednesday, June 1, 2016. She was the wife of the late Harold E. Sanford.
Mrs. Sanford was born in Westport, daughter of the late Alden F. and Sadie E. (Hart) Pettengill and had been a longtime resident of the town before moving to New Hampshire. She was an 84 year member of the Westport Grange #181 and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
Survivors include her daughter: Sara J. Doherty and her husband Joel of Franklin, NH; her brother: Francis A. Pettengill and his wife Phyllis of Dartmouth; her sister: Janet E. Whalon of Danbury, CT; 4 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; along with many nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late Edward M. Pettengill, Etta L. Beaulieu, Catherine L. Davis and Jean F. Hebden.
