NATICK: Patrick MacDonald Flaherty, age 23, a lifelong Natick resident, died suddenly on Monday, May 30, 2016. He was the much loved son of Edward P. and Joanne (MacDonald) Flaherty of Natick.
Patrick enjoyed participating in sports as he grew up, particularly playing baseball through all the stages of Natick Little League, and hockey with the Natick Comets. He and his cat, Taz, were best buddies. After graduating Natick High School with the Class of 2011, he continued his education and Keene State College. Patrick had moved to the Cape where he was employed as a cook for the summer. He enjoyed music, movies, attending concerts, hiking and snowboarding. Patrick will be remembered for great sense of humor, kindness, and strong love for family and friends.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his aunts and uncles, Arthur MacDonald and his wife Nguyet of Revere, Mary Maxwell and her husband Jim of Harvard, Kathleen Sullivan and her husband Dan of Wilmington, Bryan Flaherty of Ayer, Daniel Flaherty and his wife Linda Lynch of Arlington, a large number of close cousins, among them Robert, Lisa, Derek, and Danielle Fortuna, and Tom, Steven, and Mark Fortuna, all of Revere, and many beloved friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Saint Linus Church, 119 Hartford Street, Natick, on Monday, June 6th at 10:00AM. Burial will follow in Dell Park Cemetery.
