Obituary

Jean A. Louf, 66, of Amesbury and formerly of Salem, passed away peacefully with his family by his side at the Maplewood Care and Rehabilitation Center in Amesbury on Sunday, May 29, 2016, following a long illness.

Born and raised in Salem, he was the son of the late Armand A. and Cecile J. (Plante) Louf. Jean worked as an operating room technician for the Winchester Hospital for many years. Jean served with the U.S Army stateside during the Vietnam War. He was a devoted patriot; proud of his country and proud of his military service. He also loved gardening and cars.

He is survived by three brothers, Richard G. Louf of Lynn, Stephen L. Louf of Pebody and Johnny Evil of Saugus, two sisters, Gloria L Sabino of Peabody, Joanne M. Louf of Salem, as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother Roger S. Louf.

Relatives and friends are invited to his graveside service and Military Honors on Friday, June 3, 2016 at 1:30 PM in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Veterans Section, 226 North St., Salem, MA.
