Obituary

Steven W. Staffiere age 53 passed away May 31st at Season’s Hospice in Milton surrounded by his loving family after a courageous battle with Pancreatic Cancer. Born and raised in Medford, he graduated from Medford High School and Salem State College. Steve worked as an Account Manager for Siemen’s Industry U.S. in Burlington for the last 23 years. He has lived in Canton for the last 16 years, where he was active in youth sports as a coach for Canton Youth Hockey and Canton Youth Soccer. He also enjoyed playing for the Canton Legends Hockey team and was an avid Boston Sports Fan. He enjoyed skiing, golfing, hockey, biking, rollerblading and was a devoted husband and father and enjoyed spending his free time with his family. Beloved husband of Linda A. (Oxford). Devoted father of Michael and Marissa of Canton. Son of Jean (Renda) Staffiere of Medford and the late William Staffiere. Brother of Donald Staffiere and his wife AnnMarie of Stoneham and Robert Staffiere and his wife Elisa of Somerville. Brother in law of Paul Oxford and his wife Elena of Medfield, William Oxford and his wife Lynne of Blackstone and David Oxford and his wife Lisa of Franklin. Also survived by several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Visiting hours at the Dockray & Thomas Funeral Home 455 Washington St. Canton Sunday 3-7 pm. Funeral mass at St. Gerard Majella Church Canton Monday morning at 10. Burial Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
