Ralph A. Tatosian, 84, of Medway, died May 31 at his home. He was the husband of Hilda (Thomassian) Tatosian.
Born in New York City, December 12, 1931, the son of the late John and Beatrice (Kambourian) Tatosian, Mr. Tatosian was raised in the Flushing/Queens section of New York City and had lived in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida for 43 years before moving to Medway.
He was a graduate of Flushing High School in New York City where he was an outstanding athlete in football, hockey and baseball. He also graduated from Davis & Elkins College in West Virginia with a B.S. and was a graduate of Pratt University with a B.S. in Engineering.
Ralph, an Aeronautic Engineer, had been President, CEO and founder of the MacroFlex Corporation in Ft. Lauderdale for 20 years. He had previously owned Interface Dynamics.
An ardent supporter of the University of Miami and the Hurricanes for many years, he designed a logo for a popular hat for the University of Miami Boosters. He had been a guest lecturer at the University and longtime member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes.
A gifted artist, he was an accomplished photographer, painter, woodworker and carver.
Ralph also enjoyed fishing, sailing, reading, and history, especially about George Washington.
In addition to his wife he is survived by his daughter Elise Kristin Tatosian and his son-in-law Joseph Scamardella of Medway.
He was the brother of the late Haig Tatosian and is also survived by a large extended family.
His calling hours will be held on Sunday, June 5, in the Ginley Crowley Funeral Home (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com) 3 Barber Street, Medway from 5 - 8 p.m.
Burial will be in the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne on
Monday, June 6, 2016 at 1:30 p.m.
A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, June 18, 2016 at the Armenian Memorial Church, 32 Bigelow Ave. Watertown, MA at 11:00 a.m., with luncheon to follow.
