Robert N. "Bob" Frazier, a 33 year resident of Malden and formerly of Manhattan, New York, entered into eternal life on Sunday, May 29, 2016 at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston following an extended illness. He was 83 years old.
Bob was born in Medford on May 2, 1933, a son of the late Norman Frazier and Muriel (Gilbert) Frazier. He grew up in Somerville where he was educated in the Somerville Public School system and graduated from Somerville High School in 1950. Bob enlisted into the United States Air Force on March 10, 1953 and served his country with honor and courage during the Korean Conflict. He was honorably discharged on February 12, 1957 with the rank of Staff Sergeant. Bob worked as the Office Manager at Somerville Hospital in Somerville for many years. While living in Manhattan, New York, Bob enjoyed the cultural arts and theatre. His passion in life was his love of dogs.
Bob is the beloved son of the late Norman Frazier and Muriel (Gilbert) Frazier. He is the beloved brother of Kenneth Frazier and his wife Linda and the late Joanne O'Donnell and Richard Frazier. He is the loving uncle to Mary Gifford and her husband retired Malden Police Officer Rock, Catherine Bailey, Norman O'Donnell and great-uncle to Eric Azul and his wife Meika and their children Nico and Nina, Melanie Bailey, Stephen Bailey, Brandon Davis-O'Donnell and Trevor O'Donnell. He is also survived by his beloved dog Manny.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Bob's visiting hours on Thursday, June 2, 2016 from 4 to 8 P.M. in the A.J. Spadafora Funeral Home, 865 Main St. Malden. His Funeral Service and burial will be private.
