Obituary

CHICOPEE – Marguerite (Peluzzi) Hebert, 94, a longtime resident of Chicopee, was Called Safely Home on Saturday, May 28, 2016. She passed into Eternal Life at Quabbin Valley Health Care in Athol surrounded by the care and comfort of her loving family. She was born at home in Chicopee on November 8, 1921, a beloved daughter of the late Domenic and Maria (Monaco) Peluzzi. She was raised in Chicopee, attended local schools and later lived in Holyoke for several years before moving back to Chicopee where she lived for the remainder of her life. During her younger years, she modeled hats for several local hat companies. She was employed as a waitress for many years at the Yankee Pedlar Inn in Holyoke and and later at the former Schine Inn. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her seven dear sisters; her loving granddaughter, Karen Hebert who was Called Home on July 10, 1999; her loving daughter-in-law, Sharon Cole who was Called Home on May 3, 2010; and her loving daughter, Donna L. Hebert who was Called Home on November 22, 2011. She leaves her loving children, Donald J. Hebert, Jr. of Monson, Jo-Ann Hebert of North Swanzey, NH and Robert A. Hebert of Scituate, MA; her loving daughter-in-law, Susan A. Houde of Palmer; her cherished grandchildren, Thomas Hebert, Daniel Hebert and his wife, Desiree, and Alan Hebert and his wife, Tammy; her seven cherished great-grandchildren, Joshua Hebert and his partner, Crystal, Devin Hebert, Dakota Hebert, Elissa Nothe, Alexandra Hebert, Allyson Hebert and Kayne Sheldon; and her many dear nephews, nieces, cousins, friends and extended members of the Hebert and Peluzzi families. Her family will receive friends at the St. Pierre – Phaneuf Aldenville Chapels, (413-532-9806), 13 Dale Street, Chicopee, MA 01020 on Friday morning, June 3, 2016 from 9 am to 10:30 a.m. followed by a Prayer Service at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Her burial will follow the service at Sainte Rose Cemetery, 49 Olsen Street, Chicopee, MA 01020. The parking lot and main entrance are located in the rear of the funeral home at 20 Lafayette Street, Chicopee, MA 01020.
