To know him is to love him. That couldn’t be more true than for Phil Soucy. If you took a couple of minutes to talk to Phil, you would know that behind his rough edges and boisterous voice was a gentle heart of gold. The proudest father, the friend to lend a hand, the person you could call in the middle of night for help, the man who would move mountains if you were in need. Since 1984 he has been a part of our mountain community that makes us unique and makes us strong. With his unexpected passing, we lost a dear friend, husband, father, and son.

DANVERS – Philip J. Soucy, 58, of Los Gatos, CA, formerly of Danvers, husband of Jennifer Soucy, died Tuesday, May 24, 2016, as a result of an existing heart condition.
Born and raised Danvers, he was the son of Frank and Eleanor (Dunajski) Soucy of Danvers.
A resident of California since 1980, Phil owned and operated Summit Heating & Air Conditioning.
Besides his wife and parents, he is survived by one son Gus, one daughter Stephanie; a sister, Debbie Burgy, of Seattle, WA; brothers Frank of Danvers, and David of Monterey, CA; mother-in-law Joan Maire Nealey, two aunts, Claire Gauthier of Salem Patricia Soucy of Danvers, many nieces, nephews and friends that are all truly family.
A memorial service will be held Thursday, June 2, 2016 at 10 am in the Full-Spychalski Funeral Home, 84 Washington Square East, by Salem Common, Salem. Committal services will follow at Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
