Aldo Antobenedetto, age 92, passed away on Saturday, May 28, 2016 at Metrowest Medical Center in Natick. He was the devoted husband of the late Barbara (Klein) Antobenedetto, sharing 65 years together.
Born, raised and educated in Framingham, he was the son of the late Salvatore and Silvia (Moretti) Antobenedetto.
Aldo and Barbara, who first met in 1947, made their home in Framingham after being married in 1948 and started their family. Together, they moved their family to the Antobenedetto home in 1977. While Barbara dedicated her time caring for their home and family, Aldo worked in construction and maintenance and soon became known for his skill and dedication to his work.
Although Aldo was a hard worker, he spent as much time with his family as possible. This was time that he enjoyed very much, whether it was spent sitting and talking about the day’s events or playing around. The Red Sox and Patriots always had his attention; however, if there was a game show on, Aldo was quick to change the channel. More than any sport or game show, anyone who knew him, knew that his greatest pleasure was received by his family. This was especially true of time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whom he loved so much.
Aldo is survived by his three children, John Antobenedetto and his wife Lynn of Surprise AZ, Karen Hall and her husband Calvin of Plainville, and Marie Antobenedetto of So. Natick; a sister, Nora Ridenhour and her husband Lee of Ashland; his grandchildren, Wendy, Erica, Thomas, Kimberly, and Michael; eight great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Aldo was predeceased by six siblings.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Committal Service at Glenwood Cemetery, 50 Glenwood St., So. Natick at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, June 2, 2016
