Elissa I. (Russo) Comparetti of Somerville died on Sunday, May 29 at Mt. Auburn Hospital in Cambridge. Born in Cambridge, she was the daughter of the late Saverio and Maria (Parise) Russo.
Elissa was the beloved wife of George Comparetti and the devoted mother of Paul S. Comparetti and his wife Jean of Canton, and Joy Passanisi and her husband Salvatore of Billerica. She was the loving grandmother of Lucia and Lisa Passanisi, and the cherished sister of Catherine Gallinaro and her husband Cosmo of Woburn. Elissa is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be conducted in the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, on Friday, June 3, at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend and may arrive at 9:30 AM. Visiting hours Thursday, June 2, from 4 through 8 PM. Services will conclude with burial at Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.
