FREMONT, NH - Joan Terese Tighe, age 50, a longtime Lowell resident, died unexpectedly on Sunday, May 29, at her Fremont home, from an apparent heart attack.
She was born in Malden, in June 1965, one of six children of Margaret A. (Gately) Tighe of Lowell and the late Theodore F. “Ted” Tighe, and was raised in the Belvedere section of Lowell. She graduated from Lowell High School.
Joan worked in the electronic assembly area at Raytheon’s West Andover I.D.S. division.
Besides her mother, she is survived by her life-companion Bruce O’Keefe of Fremont; three sisters, Linda Zuniga of Salem, NH, Jean Tighe of Lowell, and Mary Herbert of Salem, NH; a brother, Michael Tighe of Lowell; two nephews, John “Jay” Herbert and William Zuniga; a niece, Shauna Zuniga-Villalona; grand nephew, Austin; grandniece, Mia; and was predeceased by her brother, William “Billy” Tighe; brother-in-law, Juan Zuniga; and nephew, Theodore “Teddy” Herbert.
Relatives and friends will be received on Thursday morning from 9:30 until 10:30 a.m. in the Tewksbury Funeral Home, corner of 1 Dewey and 975 Main Sts. (Rte. 38) TEWKSBURY CENTER, Ph.
