Gerard H. “Jerry” Rainville, 95, died Sunday at his home surrounded by his family. He was the beloved husband of Lilianne Y. (Bordes) Rainville. They had been married for 66 years.
Born in Smithfield, a son of the late Peter and Mary Ann Rainville. He had lived in Smithfield his whole life. He was a Navy veteran of WW II. He was a self-employed Building Contractor.
Besides his wife he leaves his son, Jeffrey C. Rainville and his wife Jayne of Killingly, CT, his grandchildren, Jennifer, Jacob and Jessica, his great-grandchildren, Samantha and Shelby.
His funeral will be held Wednesday at 9:30am from the Anderson-Winfield Funeral Home, Route 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10am in St. Michael’s Church 80 Farnum Pike, Smithfield. Burial with Military Honors will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Cumberland. Vistiation Wednesday morning 8:30am to 9:30am. In lieu of flowers donations in his memory may be made to St. Michael’s Church, Smithfield, RI 02917
