Cummings, Geraldine (Stafford), 78, of Sudbury, formerly of Wellesley and Athy, Co. Kildare, Ireland, died Saturday, May 28 at home with her family. Beloved wife, of Thomas J. Cummings, Sr. to whom she was married for 53 years. She earned her degree from Sir Patrick Dun School of Nursing, Dublin and worked at New England Medical Center after arriving in Boston.
Devoted mother of Deirdre Cummings Campbell and her husband Peter, Tom Cummings, and Maeve Hale and her husband Robert all of Maynard. Cherished grandmother of Maura and Katie Campbell, Conor and Garvey Cumming, and Owen and Devon Hale.
Dear sister of Aidan Stafford, Athy Co, Kildare, Ireland and the late Maeve Mooney, Ballymena, Co. Antrim, Ireland. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral from the Duckett Funeral Home of J.S. Waterman, 656 Boston Post Rd. (Rt.20), Sudbury, Friday at 8am followed by a Funeral Mass in Our Lady of Fatima Church, 160 Concord Rd. Sudbury, at 9am. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Visiting hours in the funeral home on Thursday from 4-7pm. Interment in Holyhood Cemetery, Brookline.
