Michael J Tarantino passed away unexpectedly at his home in Malden. He was 54. Raised in Medford, Michael was a graduate of Medford Vocational Technical High School. He worked for many years with Local 40 Carpenter’s Union. He was hardworking and devoted to the support of his union brothers. Michael loved animals and cared for many of the strays in his neighborhood. He was a big fan of Notre Dame Football, but most importantly he was a great and proud dad who loved being with his son.
The beloved husband of Linda (Hayden) Tarantino, he was a loving father to Michael A. Tarantino of Malden. The devoted son of Joseph S. Tarantino and the late Joan (Primeterra), he was the dear brother of Jeannine Barry of Wilmington and Jennifer Barry of Billerica. He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and his dog Stoli.
Michael’s funeral will be from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, Tuesday May 31 at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Clement Church, 71 Warner Street, Medford, at 10 AM. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend and may visit at the funeral home on Monday, 4 - 8 PM.
