FALL RIVER – Eduarda “Debbie” (Vieira) Soares, age 58 of Fall River, passed away May 27, 2016 in Boston. Born in Rabo de Peixe, São Miguel, Açores, she was the beloved wife of Carlos M. Soares and the daughter of the late Manuel Vieira & Maria A. Carreiro. She worked for Crystal Springs as a Teacher’s Assistant for handicapped children.
In addition to her husband, survivors include her son: Derek Soares (his wife Aimee); granddaughters: Arielle & Mia; siblings: Altino & Antonio Frizado, Angie Carvalho, Dora Vieira, Lenore Silva; many nieces & nephews. She was the mother of the late Kimberly Soares, and the sister of the late Maria, Fernando, Agostinho, & José Vieira, Manuel, Edmundo, Adelino, Francisco Frizado, & Maria Barroso.
Her funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home, Inc. on Wednesday at 9:30 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Michael’s Church at 10:30 A.M. Interment in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Fall River. Calling hours on Tuesday 4-8 P.M. www.rogersfuneral.com.
