FALL RIVER… Helen P. (Furtak) Beben, 96, entered into rest on Saturday, May 28, 2016. A lifelong Fall River resident, she was the widow of Theodore Beben, and a daughter of the late Andrew and Josephine (Zmunda) Furtak. Helen was an avid reader and a talented seamstress, having worked in the city’s garment industry for many years. She lived a quiet life, largely devoted to her home and family, especially her three granddaughters. She cherished her Polish heritage, and will be fondly remembered for her wonderful Polish cooking.
Beloved mother of Constance Guillot and her husband Alan of Tiverton and Diane Rodrigues and her husband David of Freetown. Beloved Babci (Grandmother) of Andrea Guillot, Alison Guillot and her fiancé Nicholas Murphy, and Lauren Rodrigues. Helen was the sister of the late Genevieve Kozik, John Furtak, and Stanley Furtak. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours are Wednesday from 9:30 -10:30 A.M. at the BOYKO MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 709 Broadway, Fall River, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 A.M. at Holy Cross Chapel, Pulaski Street. Interment will be in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Fall River.
