In Taunton, May 26, 2016 Jean L. (Vaughan) Conway, Age 84, passed away in Taunton Nursing Home following a brief illness. Jean was preceded in death by her husband Thomas Conway. She was born in North Attleboro, the daughter of the late Kenneth & Helen (Sanford) Vaughan. Jean had resided most of her life in Taunton. She was employed at the former Paul A. Dever State School, where she was a supervisor and the union representative for the state employees. Jean enjoyed going to Cape Cod and its beaches, she also loved her cats. Above all Jean was a loving mother who cherished her time with her children and grand and great grandchildren. Jean is survived by her children Kenneth Conway and his wife Donna of East Taunton and also her late daughter in law Carolyn Conway, Kathleen Conway of Taunton and her late children Michael “Porky” Conway and Janice Johnson and her husband Christopher Johnson of East Taunton. She also leaves her siblings Barbara Vaughan of Taunton, her dear sister in law and caregiver Mary Vaughan of Taunton and the late Helen Brown and surviving brother in law Ronnie Brown of Middleboro and her late brother George Vaughan. Jean also leaves her loving grandchildren Thomas Conway, Jaimie Conway, Brenda Brennan, Jennifer Johnson, Christopher Johnson, Matthew Mirka and several great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Funeral from the O’Keefe-Wade Funeral Home, 70 Washington St., Taunton, Ma 02780 on Wednesday, June 1st at 10 am. Followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Jude the Apostle Church at 11 am. Relatives and friends are invited to visiting hours on Tuesday from 4-7 pm. Burial will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Taunton. Donations in Jean’s memory may be made to the mspca.org/donate-now
