FALL RIVER – Francelina (Arruda) Souza, age 96 of Fall River, passed away May 26, 2016 at the Clifton Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. She was the wife of the late Alva B. Souza and the daughter of the late Joseph V. & Francelina (Cabral) Arruda. Prior to retiring, Francelina worked for the former Shelburne Shirt Mfg. Co.
Survivors include her brother: Joseph V. Arruda Jr., and his wife Barbara; several nieces & nephews. She was the sister of the late Alfred, Antone, & Alice Arruda, Mary Travers, Benvinda Jennings, & Evelyn Carvalho.
The family would like to express their appreciation to the kind & compassionate staff of the Clifton Rehabilitative Nursing Center.
Her funeral service will take place in the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home, Inc. 1521 N. Main St. Fall River on Tuesday here at 10:00 A.M. with a service to follow at 10:30 A.M. Interment in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Fall River. There Are No Calling Hours. www.rogersfuneral.com.
