Ralph S. Blanchard, Jr. of Canton passed away May 26th at the Charlwell House in Norwood. Born and raised in Waltham, he attended Waltham Schools and was a WW II Veteran of the Army Corp of Engineers. He spent his career as a professor of Mechanical Engineering at Northeastern University in Boston as an Associate Professor, an Associate Dean, and then Professor Emeritus. He was also active in his community where he was a founding member of the St. James Lutheran Church and was Chairman of the Canton Conservation Commission and served on the Town Finance Committee. Beloved husband of Marie T. (Neugeubauer). Father of Marion Blanchard of N.Y., Alaina Blanchard of WI, Ralph S. Blanchard, III of CT and Jeffrey J. Blanchard of Canton. He is also survived by a sister Jean and 6 grandchildren. Relatives and friends invited to attend a Funeral Service at St. James Lutheran Church Canton Saturday June 11th at 11 am. Burial private.
