Beloved husband of Helen Anne (Murphy) Maichle. Loving father of R. Philip & his wife Karen of Houston, TX and John & his wife Melissa of Marshfield. Loving son of Phyllis Beeney of Hingham and the late Henry Maichle. Devoted grandfather of Jennifer, Connor, and Evan. Brother of the late Phyllis McLaughlin. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral from the McNamara-Sparrell Funeral Home, 1 Summer St. (across from St. Anthony’s Church), Cohasset Friday at 9:15 AM. Funeral Mass in St. Anthony’s Church, Cohasset at 10 AM.
Visiting hours Thursday 4-8 PM.
Burial at a later date in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Randolph.

In 1951, Dick graduated from the Massachusetts Maritime Academy and entered the U.S. Merchant Marine for 3 years. He later served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict.
Dick was employed as vice president of Stone and Webster Engineering in Boston. After retiring from Stone and Webster, he became president of Stowe Engineering in Norwell.
He was an avid sailor and enjoyed travel.
He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
