WEBSTER — Celia H. (Charniak) Niedzwiecki, 89, of 13 Crown Street, died Tuesday, July 12, at home after a brief illness. Her husband, of 53 years, Edward J. Niedzwiecki, died in 1990.
She leaves a daughter, Barbara M. and her husband James Avery of Webster; 3 grandchildren, Steven Avery of Webster, Janet Campbell of Auburn and Susan Avery of Dudley; 4 great grandchildren, Laura Campbell, Zachary Campbell, Devon Avery and Derek Avery. She was predeceased by a brother, Henry Charniak who died in 1988.
She was born in Moosup, CT, a daughter of Stanley and Bronislawa Niedzwiecki and was a lifelong resident of Webster.
Mrs. Niedzwiecki worked as a stitcher for Bates Shoe and then BW Footwear, retiring in 1980. She was a member of Saint Joseph Basilica.
The funeral will be held Friday, July 15, from the Sitkowski & Malboeuf Funeral Home,
340 School St, with a Mass at 10:00 AM in Saint Joseph Basilica, 53 Whitcomb St. Burial will be in St. Joseph Garden of Peace. A calling hour will be from 8:15 to 9:15 Friday morning at the funeral home.
