Obituary

Carol Ann (Ridge) Oldham, 79, of Danielson Pike, North Scituate, beloved Wife, Sister, Mother, Nana and friend died Tuesday at Hope Hospice and Palliative Care Inpatient Center in Providence after a sudden illness. She was the wife of Henry Redfern Oldham.

Born in Fall River, Massachusetts, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Sarah Elizabeth (Harrison) Ridge. After being married in New York, she moved to Rhode Island, where she raised her children with her loving husband by her side.

Mrs. Oldham was a nursing assistant for many years and worked at Rhode Island Hospital and the Jewish Home for the Aged until she settled as a homemaker. She enjoyed gardening, crochet, and reading but most of all cooking for her family.

She leaves behind her beloved husband, Henry R. Oldham of North Scituate, to whom she was married to for 61 years, her three children, Cheryl B. Ross, of Gastonia, North Carolina, Heather A. (Klein) Wilkinson of Pompano Beach, Florida, her seven grandchildren, Haywood Ross of East Providence, Leslie Ross of Gastonia, North Carolina, Amanda (Klein) Bierman of Wixom, Missouri, Ashley Klein of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Gretchen Oldham, Zachary Oldham and Gabriel Oldham of North Scituate, and her five great-grandchildren: Haileigh and Siena of Rhode Island, Jaiden and Brendon of North Carolina and Ryan Henry of Michigan. She is predeceased by her son, Steve D. Oldham. She will be sadly missed by her loving family.
