Zena Jones Hallman, 81, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Tuesday, May 24, 2016, at her daughter’s residence in Fitzgerald.
Memorial services will be held 11 AM, Saturday, May 28, 2016, at the Paulk Funeral Home Chapel in Fitzgerald, with the Rev. Blane Jacobs officiating. Interment will be private. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Ms. Hallman was born September 5, 1934, in England, to the late Robert & Emily Jones. She moved to Fitzgerald in 1957 and worked at Holt’s Bakery and as a bookkeeper for Bob’s Auto Parts and Dixie Electron. Ms. Hallman was a member of the English Ladies Club, she enjoyed fishing, camping, sewing, and her all time favorite was dancing. Ms. Hallman was a member of the First Baptist Church in Fitzgerald. One of her proudest moments was when she became a United States citizen.
She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law: Gail H. Martin & Jim of Fitzgerald and Karen H. Williams and Scott of Fitzgerald; grandchildren: Jennifer Wyles & Eric, Jill Martin Rowe & T. J., Emily W. Nolan & Jacob, and Anna Williams & fiancé Cody Youghn; great-grandchildren: Ian Wyles, Dane Wyles, Kenley Nolan and Reed Nolan; and one brother: Bernard T. Jones & Irene of England. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers: Ernest Bloor and Raymond Jones and one sister: Dulcie J. Mustard.
