Obituary

MERRIMAC: Phyllis E. (Wilcox) Croteau, 87, died Sunday, May 22, 2016 at home surrounded by her family. She was wife of the late Roland Croteau who died in 1996.

Born in Newport, Vermont on December 25, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence and Lila (Raven) Wilcox. She was employed as a billing and payroll clerk for the former Chaucer Leather of Haverhill for fifteen years until her retirement. Phyllis was a foster grandparent at the Tilton School in Haverhill for several years.

In her spare time Phyllis enjoyed doing jigsaw puzzles and reading books. She also loved Red Cardinals and collected many items over the years that adorned her home and yard
She is survived by her five children, John Lamy and his wife, Jill of West Reading, PA, Rick Lamy and his wife, Donna of Atkinson, ME, George Croteau of Merrimac, Virginia Northrup and her fiancé, Thomas Daggett of Plaistow, NH and Thomas Croteau and his wife, Shannon of Hampstead, NH; ten grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; a brother, Standley Wilcox and his wife, Eleanor of Ft. Meyers, FL; son-in-law, Brad Rawson of Oskaloosa, IA and several nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by her daughter, Penny Rawson and her six siblings.

Her visiting hours will be held on Friday in the Linnehan-Grondin Funeral Home, 129 Kenoza Ave., Haverhill from 2 – 4 p.m. with a service at 4 p.m. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend.
