John P. Reddington, Jr., age 87, a lifelong resident of Raynham, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, May 23, 2016.
Born in Milton, MA on June 22, 1928, he was a loving son of the late Dorothy (Leonard) Reddington-Johnson and John P. Reddington, Sr.
John grew up and worked very hard at the Leonard’s Peach Orchard in Raynham and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Raynham.
John was a member of the Taunton YMCA, where he enjoyed playing basketball. He also loved swimming and was an avid Red Sox and Celtics fan.
He was the dearly loved brother of Patricia G. Johnson-Henshaw and her husband Larry Yablonsky of Raynham and the late Joseph, Paul and Patrick Reddington. He was the beloved uncle of Mark Henshaw, Sr. and his wife Terri, Roxann Mazzoleni and her husband Robert, Todd Henshaw and his wife Lynda, Alan Reddington, Jeanine Mitchell and her husband Duane, Jacqueline Hughes and her husband Daniel, and Patricia Burke and her husband Aaron. He was the cherished great uncle of Mark Henshaw, Jr., Danielle Henshaw, Neal Mazzoleni and his wife Victoria, Leah and Kara Mazzoleni, Kathryn and Tara Henshaw, Danielle and Nicholas Terry, Jeffrey Hughes and his wife Michele, Robert, Kayleigh and Justin Hughes, Teaghan Burke, Mark Henshaw, III, Addison, Ruby, Erica and Anthony Burton and Wayne Yablonsky. He is also survived by his many dear friends at the First Baptist church and the Judson House.
Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend his memorial service on Tuesday, May 31st at 1:00 P.M. in the First Baptist Church, 494 Church St., Raynham.
