Eliza Gouveia, age 90, of Fall River passed away on Saturday May 21, 2016. She was the daughter of the late Manuel A. and Gertrude (Almeida) Costa and wife of the late Constantino Gouveia. She was a sewing machine operator at Har-Lee and Pleasant Novelty, a member of St. Michael's Church and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is survived by her children; Robert Gouveia, Carol Marie Gelinas, and Linda Gouveia all of Fall River, siblings Roland, Richard, Robert, John, Ruth, Rose, Theresa and Mary, grandchildren; Keith, Kevin, Kyle and Jacob, and two great grandchildren. She was also the mother of the late Richard Gouveia, and sister of the late David Costa.
Her funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home 1521 N. Main St. Fall River on Saturday here at 8 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial St. Michael’s Church at 9 A.M. Interment in St. Patrick’s Cemetery. Calling hours on Friday from 4-8 P.M.
