William B. “Sonny” Henderson, age 76, of Oxford, MS lost his two year and one week struggle with COPD on May 19, 2016. He was the eldest of three sons born to the late Lonnie and Alley Mae Butts Henderson. Sonny was a member of Jumpers Chapel Congregational Methodist Church in Water Valley, MS and retired from Borg-Warner of Water Valley after 27 years of service.
Sonny is survived by his wife, Arline Foley Henderson; his son, Charles William Henderson (Nikki Smith); two daughters, Vicki Skidmore (Robert) of Oxford, MS and Tammy Lynn Henderson; three grandchildren, Blake Henderson (Mary Lee), Colton Skidmore and Jody Henderson; his uncle and last surviving sibling of Alley Mae Henderson, Lellon Butts (Charlotte) of Southaven, MS; and his middle brother, Donald Henderson (Brenda) of Water Valley, MS.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his youngest brother, Harold Henderson, January 4, 2016.
According to his wishes, Sonny was cremated and a casual memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, May 28, 2016 at Jumpers Chapel Congregational Methodist Church, 3700 CR 224 in Yalobusha County. A reception will follow in the fellowship hall of the church.
