Margaret “Peggy” Wendlandt, 69, of Litchfield, NH, formerly of Charlestown, MA died peacefully, surrounded by those that loved her dearly, Friday, May 20, 2016. She was born September 19, 1946, daughter of the late William T. Fowler and Margaret V. (Driscoll) Rudolph.
She worked with her mother for years at “Peg’s” Beauty Salon in Charlestown. Peggy delighted in working at nursing homes and caring for the elderly.
Peggy shared 48 years of marriage with the love of her life Peter M Wendlandt where they resided for the last 40 years in Litchfield. She was a cherished mother of two sons, Peter Wendlandt and his wife Linda of Methuen, MA and Chris Wendlandt and his wife Kate of Litchfield, adored grandmother of Samantha Wendlandt of Methuen and Luke Wendlandt of Litchfield. She is survived by two sisters, Kathleen Lemmon of Nashua, and Anne Marie MacDonald of Middleton, MA, as well as numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
She was an avid listener to all that had troubles, enjoyed her pool, sunshine and her family. She will be missed tremendously.
Calling hours were held on Friday May 27, 2016 from 4 – 8pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Rd., Londonderry. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Saturday at 10:00am in St. Thomas Aquinas Church, 26 Crystal Ave., Derry. Burial followed in Pine Grove Cemetery, Manchester.
