LACONIA - George Edward Haynes Jr., 70, passed away peacefully on May 21, 2016 with family close by.
George was born November 5th, 1945 and raised by his parents George and Alice Haynes. He worked in manufacturing for the majority of his life for many local companies. Ending his career at HCP Packaging as the head safety coordinator, of which he was very proud. George served in the U.S. Army Reserves for four years during the Vietnam War. He was an avid sports fan of the Patriots, Red Sox and also loved to watch the NCAA final four tournament. He loved to cook, barbeque, dance and hoot and holler while watching the Red Sox and the Patriots. George was a long time coach of Laconia youth sports where he would always be seen rubbing three fifty cent pieces together for good luck. He loved spending time in York Beach, Maine where he and his family made many memories. George and his wife had many anniversary trips to the ocean. He was a lover of his animals Cinnamon, Raven and Sally.
George is survived by his loving wife of 29 years, Ida Haynes of Laconia, his children, Ronald Steele Jr. and wife Stephanie of Laconia, Tina Reardon and husband Jeffrey of Boscawen, Ralph Reinhold II of Gilford and Amanda Patten and husband William of Tilton. He had many grandchildren, Cristopher Buxton, Ashley, Ronald III, Jakob and Ryan Steele, Kennedy and Colin Reardon, Tristan Reinhold, Jillian, Logan and Garrett Patten, Great grandchildren Allieanna and Lila and many other extended family members.
Calling hours will be held from 10AM to 12 Noon on Thursday, May 26, 2016 at the Wilkinson-Beane-Simoneau-Paquette Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, using the Carriage House entrance. A Celebration of Life will immediately follow at 12 Noon, also at the funeral home. Burial will be private.
