Methuen – Edmond “Eddie” A. Cyr, 76 of Methuen, passed away on Friday, May 20, 2016 at the Holy Family Hospital in Methuen. He was the beloved husband of Carol (Dube) Cyr, to whom he was married for 54 years. Born in Lawrence on April 18, 1940, he was the son of Edmund and Grace (Lemieux) Cyr. He worked at the Raytheon Company until his retirement. In his free time, he enjoyed sports, fishing, and golfing.
Eddie will be deeply missed by his wife, Carol; his brother, Russell Cyr and his wife, Barbara of Amesbury, MA; his sister, Elaine Cyr of Seabrook, NH; and several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his brother, Richard Cyr.
Family and friends will honor and celebrate Eddie’s life by gathering for calling hours at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence Street in Methuen on Tuesday, May 24, 2016 from 4-8 PM. His Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Wednesday at 11 AM at St. Monica’s Church in Methuen. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery in Methuen.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial contributions be made to St. Monica’s Church, 212 Lawrence Street, Methuen, MA 01844.
