Obituary

Pauline T. Legare, 88, previously of Woonsocket, died May 20, 2016 in the Holiday Skilled Nursing Home, Manville. Born in Woonsocket, she was the daughter of the late Henri and Eva (Plouffe) Gignac.

Pauline had worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant at the Woonsocket Health Center and the Evergreen Nursing Home. She was also a case manager for Northern RI Mental Health for five years. Later, Pauline served as a monitor for Travelers Transit’s Early Intervention Program in the Worcester area until her retirement in 2000. She had offered volunteer service to R.O.A.D. Counseling and Meals on Wheels. She was proud of her own thirty years of sobriety.

Pauline is survived by her son, William Legare and his wife Judith of Millville, MA, her grandchildren, Donald, David and Marjorie Blanchette and Andrew and Kathleen Legare, her great-grandchildren, Andrew, Amanda and Alex Blanchette, Samantha Coye, James Coyne, and Bolton, Kyla and Taylor Legare, and her one great-great granddaughter, Ayla Calabrese. She was pre-deceased by her siblings, Roger Gignac and Cecile Desmarais.

Funeral Services include visitation starting at 9:30AM on Wednesday, May 25 in the Fournier and Fournier Funeral Home, 463 South Main St, Woonsocket. We will then process to St Augustine Church, 17 Lincoln St, Millville, MA for an 11:30AM Mass of Christian Burial. Burial will be private.
