Thad B. Calhoun, Jr.
Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Thursday, May 19, 2016, Mr. Thad B. Calhoun, Jr. beloved husband of 64 years to Anne Mundy Calhoun.
Thad dedicated 34 years of his life to law enforcement in Augusta and Richmond County. He was a 1975 graduate of the National F.B.I. Academy at Quantico, VA.
Other family members include his daughters: Deborah C. Howard, Connie C. Griswold (Doug); son: Thad B. Calhoun, III; grandchildren: Gary Lee Cooper, Falon C. Wren, 6 great-grandchildren, 2 great great-grandchildren; sisters: Patricia Black, Fay Miller and Gloria Johnson (Eli) ; brother: S. Wayne Morris (Connie).
Funeral services will be Monday, May 23, 2016, at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son with Rev. Phil Winslett and Rev. Richard Daniels officiating. Pallbearers will be Ken Eskew, Jim Shipp, Billy Dixon, Harold Clack, Dak McCall, Keith Hunter and Bartley Payne. Honorary pallbearers will be the Richmond County Sheriff’s Department. Burial will follow at Bellevue Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 7:00 until 9:00 P.M.
