Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Thursday, May 19, 2016, Mr. Frank E. Simmons, Jr., husband of 23 years to Janice Simmons.
Frank graduated from Augusta College earning his Bachelor of Science and the University of Georgia with a Specialist in Administration. Frank retired in 2004 from Tutt Middle School after 33 years of service with the Richmond County Board of Education. He was also a math instructor at Augusta College for 33 years. Frank was a loyal fan of the Atlanta Braves and the Georgia Bulldogs.
Family members, in addition to his wife, include his children: Trey Simmons, Katie Duncan, Amy Boulineau (Ben), Chris Thompson (Rebecca), and David Thompson (Jodi); grandchildren: Lauren, Maggie, Hunter, and Parker Thompson; sisters: Sharon Neese (Bert) and Sheryl Brown (Alan); and his feline companions: Bucket and Mary-Mary.
A celebration of life drop in will be held on Sunday, May 22, 2016 from 2:00 until 5:00 P.M. at his daughter’s residence, 863 Tyler Pkwy, Grovetown, GA 30813.
