Mary E.J. Thomopoulos, 64, passed away on May 18, 2016 at Ridgewood Center in Bedford, NH, after an extended illness. She was born in Nashua, NH on October 17, 1951, a daughter of the late Albert and Cecelia (Bruce) Leavitt.
Mary worked for the Londonderry School System for 10 years as a Bus Driver. She enjoyed the love and company of cats and doing crafts, which included crocheting and plastic canvas. Fall was Mary’s favorite time of the year as she enjoyed State Fairs.
Surviving include one son, Jason Thomopoulos and his wife, Christeen; one brother, Albert Leavitt and two sisters, Ruth Zabolusky and Patricia Moro. Mary enjoyed spending time with her only granddaughter, Jasmine Pina. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her sister, Barbara Leavitt.
Calling hours were held on Monday, May 23, 2016 from 5:00 to 6:30 pm at Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch Street, Derry, NH. A memorial Service will follow at 6:30 in the Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers donations in Mary’s memory may be made to a local animal shelter.
