Obituary

SOMERSET – Amelia “Milly” (Pereira) Costa, age 100 of Somerset, passed away on Thursday, May 19, 2016. Born in Fall River, she was the wife of the late John G. Costa and the daughter of the late Francisco & Emelia (Alexandra) Pereira. Prior to retiring, Milly worked as a Sewing Machine Operator in the Garment Mfg. Industry. She was a member of the I.L.G.W.U. and the “Daughters of Isabella”.

Survivors include her son Jake Costa, and his wife Joyce; two grandchildren: Craig Costa and Katelyn Rapoza, her husband Matthew; five great grandchildren: Jacob, Emily, Mattison, Rock, and Joy; several nieces & nephews. She was also the sister of the late Gilda Perry, Mary Rego, Ed Perry, Eva Benefito, Joseph & Manuel Pereira.

Her Funeral Service to which relatives & friends are invited will be on Saturday at 9:00 A.M. in Church of Our Saviour, 2112 County St., Somerset, MA. Interment in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Fall River. The family will receive guests Saturday Morning at 8:30 A.M. in the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the: Annelle Delorme Hagerman Food Pantry at Church of Our Saviour, 2112 County St., Somerset, MA.
