WEBSTER - Josephine “Babe” (Piechota) Trojanowski, 97, formerly of Upland Avenue, died Wednesday, May 18, 2016 in Webster Manor. Her husband of 55 years, Walter S. “Archie” Trojanowski, died in 2001.
She leaves 2 daughters, Natalie A. Ostrokolowicz and her husband James, and Eleanor M. Brezniak and her husband Victor, all of Webster; 2 grandchildren, Gregory and Catherine Brezniak; a sister, Esther Lavoie of Dudley; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by 3 brothers and 2 sisters.
She was born in Webster on August 26, 1918, the oldest child of Kasmin and Mary (Farinos) Piechota and was a lifelong resident. In her younger years, she was a weaver at a textile mill in North Grosvenordale, CT but for the majority of her life she was a homemaker.
Mrs. Trojanowski was a member of Saint Joseph Basilica. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting and braiding rugs.
The funeral will be held Monday, May 23, from the Sitkowski & Malboeuf Funeral Home, 340 School Street, with a Mass at 11:00 AM in Saint Joseph Basilica, 53 Whitcomb Street. Burial will be in Saint Joseph Garden of Peace. Visitation will be from 9:00 to 10:15 AM Monday in the funeral home. Donations in her name may be made to either Saint Joseph Basilica or to the Friends of Saint Joseph School Fund, both 53 Whitcomb Street, Webster, MA 01570.
