Rautenberg, Gerald W. “Gerry” of West Roxbury May 17, 2016. Boston Police Officer, Dist. 18. Beloved husband of Marcianne “Marty” (Allen). Loving and dedicated father of his girls, Aliesha and Karyn and his sons-in-law Tim Black and John Bravo. Cherished Papa of Theodore and Elsie. Devoted son of Mary (Schroeder) and the Late Edmund Rautenberg Sr. (BPD). Lovingly known to his family as “Gig”, Gerry is the brother of Loretta, Edmund Jr. (BPD), David, Paul, Judith Raleigh, Joseph and Mary Khoshabjian and Leona Welch and the late Jack Welch and family. Loving brother-in-law, uncle and cousin to his extended family including the Rautenberg, Schroeder and Allen families. After his Army service he started his family life as a lobsterman then took pride following in his family’s footsteps and serving the City of Boston for over 30 years. Ever the father, he enjoyed vacations in the great outdoors and traveling to watch his girls play sports (when he wasn’t playing softball himself). Funeral from the William J. Gormley Funeral Home 2055 Centre St. West Roxbury on Saturday May 21st at 9am. Followed by a Funeral Mass in the Most Precious Blood Church at 10 o’clock. Visiting hours Friday 4pm – 8pm. Relatives and friends invited. Interment private. Late member of the BPPA. Due to family members with allergies in lieu of flowers remembrances may be made to The Hundred Club @ 100clubmass.org or the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of America @ ccfa.org.
