George Michael Fletcher, 58, of Chula, Georgia, died Tuesday, May 17, 2016, in Tifton, Georgia.
A family and friends gathering will be held Friday evening, May 20, 2016, from 6 PM to 8 PM, at the Paulk Funeral Home in Fitzgerald.
Mr. Fletcher was born June 19, 1957, in Ocilla, Georgia, to the late Marion Henry and Mary Dona Livingston Fletcher. He lived in the community all of his life and worked for Shaw Industries. He enjoyed watching sports and western movies. Mr. Fletcher was of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by his wife of 22 years: Sondra Fletcher of Tifton; children: Michael Fletcher, Jr. of Fitzgerald, Elizabeth Michelle Fletcher of Chula, William Paul Fletcher of Edinburg, Texas and Russell Alexander Fletcher of Ft. Myers, Florida; 13 grandchildren; four brothers: Floyd Fletcher of Irwinville, Wayne Fletcher of Fitzgerald, Tommy & Susan Fletcher of Tifton and Ronald & Winette Fletcher of Waterloo. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister: Maryann Fletcher.
