Charles Eugene Spicer, 77, of Tifton (Eldorado) passed away Tuesday, May 17, 2016, at his residence. His funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 21, 2016, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with Elder Edward McIntyre officiating. Family and friends will give eulogies. The family will receive friends Saturday, May 21, 2016, from 1:00 p.m. until the hour of the service at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Born October 27, 1938 in Irwin County, Mr. Spicer was the son of the late Charles W. Spicer and Allie Broome Spicer Helms. He was a retired millwright inspector and member of Eldorado Baptist Church. He enjoyed nature and was a veteran of the United States Air Force.
Mr. Spicer is survived by his wife, Sharon King Adams Spicer of Tifton (Eldorado); four sons and a daughter-in-law, Michael Spicer of Newnan, Brad and Holly Spicer of Senoia. Georgia, Dennis Adams of Hot Springs, Arkansas and Donnie Adams of Oxford, Alabama; two daughters and a son-in-law, Pam and Frank Mercer of Fayetteville and Shea Ray of Athens; a sister, Barbara Slagle of Griffin; and eleven grandchildren.
