Obituary

NATICK: Barbara A. (Milton) Vining, 84, died peacefully on Saturday, May 14, 2016 following a brief illness.
She was born in Worcester on March 16, 1932 the daughter of the late Arthur G. Milton and Mabel A. (Brierly) Milton.
Barbara is survived by her devoted husband of 53 years, Bradley A. Vining of Natick. Loving mother of John M. Vining and his wife Debra P. Vining of Holden and Paul F. Vining of Minot, North Dakota. Cherished grandmother of Jonathan and Violette Vining of Holden and Rebecca M. Vining of Washington, Illinois.
Barbara spent her formative years in Worcester and has been a resident of Natick for 53 years. She received her BA in Education from Clark University in Worcester with the Class of 1953 and her Masters in English from Worcester State College. For several years she was an elementary school teacher in the Holden school system in the 1960’s.
Barbara was a longtime member of the Fisk Memorial Methodist Church in Natick and was active in the affairs of the church including the Women’s Club and working on many of the church fairs. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Aurora Chapter. She was a school bus driver for many years for the children of Natick.
Barbara was devoted to her family and enjoyed time spent with them hiking and picnics at their homes in Northfield, NH and South Dennis as well as going to the beach.
Visitations will be held on Friday, May 20, 2016 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm and 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the John C. Bryant Funeral Home, 56 Pemberton Road (Off rte 30), Wayland.
Private family services will be held at the Milton-Vining family lot in Hope Cemetery in Worcester.
In lieu of flowers, her family kindly suggests that memorial gifts be sent in Barbara’s memory to Fisk Memorial United Methodist Church, 106 Walnut Street, Natick, MA 01760 or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
