Devoted grandmother of Johanna, Walter, Brendan, Sean, Ryan and Patrick. Sister of Muriel K. Murphy of Mansfield. Also survived by several loving nieces and nephews.
Funeral from the Conley Funeral Home 138 Belmont St. (Rte 123) Brockton Thursday at 10 am. Funeral Mass in Our Lady of Lourdes Church at 11 am. Burial in Calvary Cemetery. Visiting hours Wednesday 3-7 pm. Donations in Madeline’s name may be made to the Charity Guild PO Box 2372 Brockton, MA 02303-2372.

Mrs. Davis died Sunday evening at her home after a lengthy illness. She was the wife of the late Walter Owen Davis.
Mrs. Davis was born March 20, 1922 in Brockton a daughter of the late Charles and Katherine (Burns) McCarthy and she remained a lifelong resident of the city. She was a graduate of Brockton High School class of 1940.Before her marriage she was employed by New England Tel. & Tel. and also by the Brockton Taunton Gas Company.
Mrs. Davis was a homebody who enjoyed time spent with her family. She was deeply devoted to her faith and was a longtime communicant of Our Lady of Lourdes Church.
She was the mother of Janine Kurth and her husband Glenn of Wellesley; Laurene Frederick and her husband Stephen of Brockton and Walter J. “Chip” Davis and his wife Cynthia of West Chester, PA. She was the devoted grandmother of Johanna, Walter, Brendan, Sean, Ryan and Patrick.
She is also survived by her sister Muriel K. Murphy of Mansfield and several loving nieces and nephews.
