Robert R. Trudeau 67, of Grove St, died Thursday, May 5, in the Philip Hulitar Center in Providence.
He was the husband of Jeannine (Grondin) Trudeau. Mr. Trudeau was born in Woonsocket, and lived in the Silver Lake area of Bellingham, a son of the late Henri and Irene (Roberge) Trudeau. Besides his wife, he is survived by his son Rene Trudeau of Woonsocket, a brother; Eugene Trudeau of Sarasota, FL, a sister; Jacqueline Mahoney of Wellsley, MA, and many nieces and nephews.
He was a graduate of Bellingham High School, was an Eagle Scout and was awarded the Order of the Arrow. He attended Franklin Institute of Boston prior to joining the U.S. Navy in 1968. Upon his discharge, he relocated to Woonsocket. He enjoyed bowling, fishing and golf. He was a lifetime member of the Cercle Laurier Inc. and a member of the Woonsocket Lodge of Elks for twenty one years. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home and are private.
