FALL RIVER - Antonio F. Cabral, age 79 of Fall River, passed away at home on May 17, 2016 with his family by his side. Born in Amoreiras da Bretanha, São Miguel, Açores, he was the beloved husband of Clara (Araujo) Cabral and the son of the late Manuel S. & Maria (Fernandes) Cabral. Prior to retiring, Antonio worked as an Asphalt Foreman for Forte Bros. & Cardi Corp. He was a parishioner of St. Michael’s Church and a member of the Laborers Union, Local 271.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children: Gary Cabral (wife Ilidia) and David Cabral (wife Fatima) of Fall River and Jeffrey Cabral (wife Melissa) of Dighton; siblings: Theresa Medeiros & Manuel Cabral of Hamilton, Ontario; grandchildren: Kyle, Shaun, Kristin, Marissa, Andrew & Sophia Cabral; several nieces & nephews. He was the brother of the late Jose Cabral.
His funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home, Inc. 1521 N. Main St. Fall River on Friday at 10 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Michael Church at 11 A.M. Interment in St. Patrick Cemetery. Calling hours Thursday 5-9 P.M. www.rogersfuneral.com.
